JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Job will be as a Member of the Distribution Management System Project Team. The objective of the Distribution Management System (DMS) effort is to implement an AREVA DMS system with related infrastructure, integration, and business processes required to transform how employer manages its electric distribution system.

• Provide project engineering support for the DMS Implementation Team. The individual will: 1) Support the collection of data from various sources to build the DMS model. 2) Help validate the DMS model against established models. 3) Work with the vendor and users to configure the various DMS applications to meet the needs of employer. 4) Participate in DMS testing activities and documentation review 5) Participate in vendor-supplied training as required.

   

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6 - 9 years experience
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
• Valid Driver’s License
• Understanding of IT systems and protocols, such as workstation/server operating systems and PERL scripting
• Ability to meet NERC CIP background check criteria
• Educational emphasis on principles of Electric Energy System Theory and practice -- or equivalent experience in Distribution Operations or Planning. Desired
• Experience in Power System Engineering Applications including power system load flow models
• Experience in Distribution Operations and systems such as GIS and Distribution Outage Management Systems.
• Strong team player that works well with others
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines but apply flexibility in respond to changing needs.
• Self motivated with demonstrated ability to self-manage, set priorities, and establish goals.
• Successfully completed or working towards PE and EIT certification
• Local candidates strongly preferred
