JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for the civil (physical) design for modifications to substations in the Central Region of Field Ops Carolinas. The position will develop scope documents for these modifications, prepare job packages and provide project management support. This position will be using the new Substation Design software. This position will also provide additional substation technical support, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate Degree in Engineering Technology (electrical, civil, mechanical) OR two or more years experience in the design, construction and/or maintenance of substations.
- Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.).
- Valid driver’s license.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Substation design experience
- AutoCad skills
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
