JOB TITLE:  Manufacturing (RSB) Engineer

LOCATION: Indianapolis

JOB DESCRIPTION: The RBS Engineer significantly inpacts Rexnord's ability to be competitive in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Growth. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Active leadership in Lean initiatives, 6 Sigma programs, and Kaizen activities to improve manufacturability

•  Demonstrated ability to teach/train in Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen tools

•  Promote and facilitate the establishment of continuous improvement tools

•  Oversees participation in lean initiatives to ensure RBS Metrics are met

•  Drives employee participation (including process experts) in Lean initiatives

•  Lean Manufacturing experience with Lean tools including Value Stream Mapping, Work Cellularization, Standard Work, 5S and Set-up reduction (SMED)

•  Improve work flow and process capability in current manufacturing cells

•  Design and develop work cells to improve productivity and delivery

•  Justify/purchase capital equipment/tooling to improve manufacturing processes

•  Drive "best practices" in all areas of responsibility

•  Ability to obtain Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt Certificaiton

•  Promote a safe work environment

•  Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist others in solving problems

•  Excellent computer skills (spreadsheets, databases, etc)

•  Team orientation with the ability to influence others

•  Ability to lead and develop employees

•  Strong communication and employee relation skills

•  Ability to move up to position of increasing accountability within the organization

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Undergraduate degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering is required with an advanced degree preferred. 5+ years in fast-pased manufacturing production environment
