JOB TITLE: Electronic Hybrid Test Technician

LOCATION: Indianapolis

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform test setup of hybrid electric system components in a transmission dynamometer test stand and engine test stand

• Instrument test components per engineering test specifications

• Conduct engineering tests on system components per engineering specifications, and document results

• Troubleshoot test stand problems with instrumentation and operation

• Perform light fabrication of structural components and tools, as needed

• Configure and maintain computer test systems for data acquisition

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong mechanical and electrical skills pertaining to test stand modifications, trouble shooting and repairs

• Ability to perform heavy component installations/removals from test cells

• Shown ability to conduct component/system tests in a test stand environment, and document results for evaluation/interpretation

• Demonstrated ability to use electric measurement equipment on component tests and validations

• Understanding of general data acquisition systems and their proper use

• Computer skills necessary for computer based data acquisition and for team communication

• Knowledgeable in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings/specifications

• Experience with engine mechanics of diesel and gasoline combustion engines-operation and repair

• Ability to work extended shifts, night shifts, and weekends on-call duty

• Prefer working knowledge of Unix operating systems and environment

• Prefer skill in structural welding

• Experience in working with high voltage systems preferred

• Ability to write programming scripts for test stand operation

• Demonstrated skills in machine shop fabrication

• Associates degree required, Bachelors preferred, in relevant field of study
