JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Establish, analyze and document systems-level requirements for Passenger Occupant Detection Systems (PODS), PODS Electronic control units (ECUs) and/or Seat elt Reminder Systems (SBR) for current and future Delphi Customers.
2. Develop PODS and PODS ECU designs that satisfy the System and ECU requirements, define the components of the ECU, and define the interfaces between the components for each assigned ECU program.
3. Lead the engineering portion of project design reviews.
4. Lead the development of strategies to verify the Systems and ECU design, coordinate verification activities, perform seat level testing, and perform bench-level testing to verify that the System and ECU performance meets the customer requirements.
5. Prepare PODS System design, ECU design and performance test result reports for project design reviews and for presentation to the Customer
6. Prepare required documentation (Product Definition Documents, Calibration files, Analysis reports, MPI files, etc.) per the project schedule. Communicate issues proactively with Project Manager, Engineering Leadership, and the program team.
7. Comply with Delphi E&S and Occupant Classification Systems standard policies and procedures
MAJOR JOB QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFIC SKILLS (REQUIRED)
1. 3-5 years experience (minimum) in an engineering field or program management
2. 2 years experience (minimum) in Product Engineering for the automotive industry
3. Strong analytical capabilities, experience with analyzing customer technical documentation
4. Ability to work with PCs and other lab equipment.
5. Experience in using DOORs for requirement documentation
6. Training and demonstrated experience in use of structured problem solving
7. Familiar with Mini-Tab, statistical analysis
8. Self-directed and self-motivated, able to work flexible hours (early mornings or late evenings) to accommodate Customer schedule.
9. Good oral and written communication skills (English required)

13 Education – Bachelors degree, Electrical Engineering or Systems/Software Engineering.

3. SE-1 Certified
4. Foreign Languages (Japanese, German Chinese,)
